Meet the Executive Management Team for 2010-2011!

The Common Manual Governing Board is pleased to introduce the Executive Management Team leadership for the 2010-2011 fiscal year, beginning August 1, 2010. The Executive Management Team coordinates the annual update and production of the Common Manual and e-Collection CD-ROM.

Governing Board Chair - Mary Heid
Ms. Mary Heid, Director of Policy, Compliance, and Training for the Oklahoma Guaranteed Student Loan Program, will begin her second term as Governing Board Chair for 2010-2011. She served as Chair-Elect in 2008-2009.  Ms. Heid has 20 years experience with Oklahoma and is a past member of the NCHELP NSLDS sub-committee.

Chair-Elect - Nancy Masten
Ms. Nancy Masten is a Policy Supervisor with the Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation working in the agency's Policy and Regulatory Compliance division.  Ms. Masten has been working in the student loan arena for over 20 years. She has been a member of the Common Manual Policy Committee on two different occasions for a total of 6 years, and was a member of the original team that developed the Manual. 

Production Director - Reitha Scott
Ms. Reitha Scott, Program Policy Manager for the Florida Department of Education, Office of Student Financial Assistance, will begin a fourth term as Production Director for the Common Manual Governing Board.  Ms. Scott has 28 years of FFEL program experience and has served on multiple NCHELP committees.  In addition, Reitha has supported the Common Manual efforts with her service as a Board member for twelve years with six years as Production Director, and also as Chair-Elect and Chair.

Communications Director - Linda Butcher
Ms. Linda Butcher is Policy Analyst and Associate Ombudsman for National Student Loan Program (Nebraska).  Ms. Butcher has 16 years of FFEL program experience and is active on NCHELP's Regulations Committee as Co-Chair of the Forms sub-committee, serves as a lender reviewer with the Common Review Initiative, and is also an Accredited Financial Counselor through the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education, or AFCPE.

Treasurer - Cheryl Hughes
Ms. Cheryl Hughes, Compliance Officer for the South Carolina Student Loan Corporation, will begin a second term as Treasurer for the Common Manual Governing Board.  She has served on the Common Manual Policy Committee in the past as a member and as a co-chair and she continues to serve on the editing subcommittee.  Ms. Hughes brings 29 years of experience in the FFEL Program to this position.
