AUGUST AND THE COMMON MANUAL

 OFF TO THE RACES - THERE THEY GO!!! 

Whether you are in San Anita or Saratoga, just as horses race toward the winners' circle, the Common Manual Unified Student Loan Policy races into its new year of policy analysis, review, and updates.

The Policy Committee has been quick out of the gate with the first batch of the new production year, Batch 151, out for review on July 25, 2008. Community comments are due by August 15, 2008.  All policies approved in this batch will be published near the end of September, and will be incorporated into our Integrated Common Manual.  We anticipate a new batch of proposals to be sprinting to approval every month from September thru April 2009.

At this time, the guarantors have delivered copies of the 2008 Common Manual in paper, CD, or electronic formats to their FFELP partners.  We hope you find the 2008 Manual to be a useful tool in the new academic year.  It contains the newest policies, and using its search capabilities will help you keep both a fast and accurate pace through this busy financial aid "season."

If you have any questions or comments about this year's manual, or about this website, please do not hesitate to contact your guarantor.  We wish you all to finish "in front" being a winner with your customers and their FFELP needs throughout the year.
